6.5 to 1 Transfer Case Gears

Low range gears are critical for technical off-road driving. Our Samurai low range gear kit is the highest quality gear set available. Low Range reduction is 6.5 to 1. High Range reduction is 20% (1.7 to 1). No welded or second rate, gears here. These are strong, run quiet and take a huge amount of abuse. This complete kit includes four new precision cut gears, counter shaft, needle bearings, shims, o-ring, gaskets, and input/output seals. Minor grinding of case is necessary for installation. Fits 1986-1995 Suzuki Samurai's. 15 lbs. If you're planning to run with stock axle gears, the high-range gearing of this kit is ideal for street use with 33"-35" tires.

Longfield™ Samurai 33-Spline Front Axle Kit
Longfield™ Samurai 33-Spline Front Axle Kit
The Longfield™ Samurai 33-Spline Front Axle shafts are made out of 4340 chromoly steel. The Longfield™ birfields are made out of 100% chromoly and are precision polished to remove any imperfections that may cause stress risers. The internals of our Longfield™ birfields are made out of 4340 chromoly steel and then dual heat-treated for superior strength. The axle shafts are also made out of 4340 chromoly steel. The shafts have a larger diameter than stock and are upgraded to 26-splines on the differential side. The Birfield side of the axle shaft and the inner race of the Birfield have been upgraded to 33-splines to better distribute the torque loading.

Note: To install The Longfield™ Samurai 33-Spline Front Axle Kit you will need 26 spline spider gears in your 3rd member. You can obtain these 26 spline spider gears either by purchasing the OEM rear axle spider gears (they are 26 spline stock in the rear third) or by simply purchasing a locker with 26 spline spider gears, which is common in this application.

These axle shafts are the best of the best; manufactured from 4340 chromoly and consistently tested to a failure rate of around 4689ft/lbs. The shafts have a larger diameter than stock and are upgraded to 26-splines on the differential side. The Birfield side of the axle shaft and the inner race of the Birfield have been upgraded to 33-splines to better distribute the torque loading.

Samurai 26 Spline Spool Locker

Mini Spools fit 86-95 Suzuki Samurai and 89-00 Sidekick rear applications and can also be installed into a front differential with the 26 spline spider gear upgrade. The TG mini spool installs into a standard 26 spline rear open carrier with no additional parts required and offers you the same traction as a full spool at a fraction of the cost.

SAMURAI DRIVE SHAFT SPACER KITS
Spacers are available in 3/4", 1", 1.25" and 1.5" lengths. Each kit contains one spacer and mounting hardware. Fits front or rear shaft. Spacers are made from 6061 T6 Aluminum.

Samurai Heavy Duty Transfer Case Front Output Shaft
Putting in lower transfer case gears and really getting on the throttle can sometimes damage the front output shaft. This results in a loud popping noise under load and is detrimental to the life of the output shaft. Repeated popping of the front output shaft gear will result in gear failure and loss of power to the front axle. In 1993 Suzuki upgraded the output shaft and stopped using the older style shaft that was prone to failure. These later style shafts are a drop in replacement for 1986-1989 transfer cases. This upgrade is especially good for transfer cases that have lower than stock gearing in them because the lower the gear, the higher the toque load going through the gear. The front output gear can be installed without full disassembly of the transfer case. Only the front output cover needs to be removed to install this gear. Replace your older gear now and keep it in your tool box as a trail spare. Fits 1986-1995 Suzuki Samurai's.

SUMO™ Front Rock Crawler Driveshaft
Replace the wimpy stock front driveshaft with a SUMO™ shaft that was designed with the rock crawler in mind! The long-travel spline provides 9 inches of spline travel, the clearanced flanges increase the shaft's working angle, and the Spicer 1310 U-joints are substantially stronger than the stock joints. The narrow upper shaft helps to eliminate the need to modify the frame cross member for maximum suspension articulation. This shaft is perfect for long-travel shackle-reversal suspensions.
