Our shackle reversal is
designed with hardcore 4-wheeling in mind. Perfect for rough dirt roads
or the toughest rockcrawling trails, our suspension kit allows for the
smoothest ride and maximum articulation possible (40+ inches if set up
optimally). This kit allows you to use the leaf springs from the
1986-1995 Jeep Wranger YJ, which are longer, wider, and softer than any
spring available for the Samurai. Coupled with a shackle reversal in
front, this kit performs like a coil spring conversion, without the
associated cost and complexity.
This kit works with axles
in the stock spring-under-axle (SPUA) configuration, although most people
have set it up with a spring-over-axle (SPOA) setup for maximum ground
clearance and articulation. All parts needed are provided, including the
mounting hardware, but the springs are not, in the interest of helping you
save on shipping expenses. Jeep YJ springs are easy to obtain; call us
for details. SUMO driveshafts are recommended, but not included.
Our Front YJ Wrangler
Shackle Reversal System is a complete weld-on kit that includes 2 front
spring hangers, *2 "BACK-OFF" shackles, 2 SPOA pads, 2 spring plates, and
all necessary bolts and hardware.
Our Rear YJ Wrangler
Spring System is a complete weld or bolt-on kit that includes 2 spring
locating boxes, 2 Samurai-to-YJ shackles, 2 SPOA pads, 2 spring plates,
and all necessary bolts and hardware. Rear CJ spring locating boxes are

We can build any kind of suspension in
the world, but for our own Samurais, we choose the YJ shackle reversal.
